If maximum wear reserves are required, choose the same or similar magnetic brake dimensions and electrical control system. The high magnetic tractive force guarantees that the brake releases safely, even when there is a large air gap due to wear. Maximising the braking torques or wear resources is always at the expense of the optimisation potentials for reducing energy, construction length, switching times and operating temperature.
