Elevator association VFA-Interlift visits Mauerstetten
Visit to mayr® power transmission

Elevators are an integral part of everyday life and an exceptionally safe means of transport. The industry association VFA-Interlift e.V. represents manufacturers of elevators, escalators, and their components internationally. The association includes around 240 companies, predominantly from the DACH region, which together generate more than one billion euro in annual revenue—including mayr® power transmission of Mauerstetten, the market leader in elevator brakes.

Christella Herzog heads the VFA office. As part of a series of visits to the association’s member companies, Herzog visited the mayr® headquarters in Mauerstetten on December 4. The meeting focused on exchanging views on developments and trends in the elevator industry, such as the new ISO 8100 elevator standard, as well as technical innovations and strengthening the network within the association. During a plant tour, Christella Herzog was impressed by the high level of vertical integration and the innovative products that add safety and reliability to machinery. The high-quality technology developed by VFA members is of immense importance for international competitiveness and for collaboration within the industry, Herzog said in discussions with the mayr® management.
