The ROBA® gateway is an Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) gateway that integrates the ROBA® brake-checker® series into local networks. It reliably transfers all brake data captured by the ROBA® brake-checker® via Ethernet and makes them available for diagnostics, analysis, and documentation. With the integrated visualization dashboard, you always have your brake in view.

Visualization and web interface

The browser-based dashboard clearly displays measured values and states of your safety brake—including time series such as the switching-time trend t₂. States like “brake released/applied” or “error” are clearly visualized and available in real time on the local network.

Smart combination with the ROBA® brake-checker® series

A ROBA® brake-checker® is required for operation. The gateway can be combined with all variants; always select type ._1_ with integrated IrDA interface.

The ROBA® brake-checker® housing is available in three sizes: small, medium, and large.

Dimensions and installation space

Designed for control-cabinet mounting on DIN rail.

The standard height of the ROBA® gateway and the ROBA® brake-checker® is 42 mm.

The ROBA® brake-checker® is available in three housing widths: small (28 mm), medium (51 mm), and large (73 mm); the width depends on the selected type. The ROBA® gateway has a fixed width of 51 mm and fits seamlessly into common control-cabinet layouts.

New application:
Start with the appropriate brake, then check compatibility with the ROBA® brake-checker®. If compatible, integrate the ROBA® gateway into the system.

Retrofit in existing systems:
If a ROBA® brake-checker® is already in use, replace the existing type with the same type in design ._1_ to ensure gateway compatibility. Our experts are happy to support selection and configuration.
