The ROBA® topstop® is a ready-to-install safety brake module for reliably securing vertical axes. The safety brake holds the load securely in position even when the motor is switched off or removed.

Thanks to the adapted flange dimensions, the ROBA® topstop® can be integrated directly between the servo motor and gearbox or retrofitted into existing systems.

Certified safety according to TÜV SÜD

The ROBA® topstop® is optimized for functional safety in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13849-1. According to TÜV SÜD, it can be regarded as a “tried and tested component” in terms of Category 1 of DIN EN ISO 13849-1. To support you in safety validation, we provide a validation tool that includes all required safety parameters (B10d), structured according to the standard.

The ROBA® topstop® can be connected directly to the ROBA® brake-checker® – a sensorless module for reliable brake monitoring. In combination with the ROBA® gateway, all relevant brake data is read out and visualized via Ethernet. This makes it ideal for Industry 4.0 environments, transparent dashboard visualization, and integration into remote maintenance systems.
