The ROBA® quick is an energized-to-engage, electromagnetic pole face brake which differs in its function from our safety brakes: The shaft is braked by applying DC voltage; when de-energized, the ROBA® quick opens and the shaft can run freely again. It offers a high performance density, fast switching times and high positioning accuracy.
