The ROBA-stop® stage is a noise-damped, redundant safety brake for stage and event technology which minimizes the load on the supporting structures during braking: Normally, a redundant, i.e. second brake circuit leads to a doubling of the braking torque, which is usually (due to safety factors and braking torque tolerances) already above the respective nominal load. As a result, the deceleration during braking might be several times the value that is actually required, which places an unnecessarily high load on the supporting structures. The special design of the ROBA-stop® stage with two brake circuits working against each other prevents such an increase in braking torque. This makes a compact design and thus a high performance density possible. The ROBA-stop® stage can be fitted to all standard connections.
