ROBA® guidestop® safety brakes clamp directly onto the linear guide with an extremely high degree of rigidity. As they are attached directly to the moved mass, drive elements between the motor and the moved mass, such as for example spindles, spindle nuts, shaft couplings or gears, have no influence on safety. The ROBA® guidestop® is therefore ideal for securing vertical axes. The combination with another brake makes it easy to implement a redundant, multi-purpose braking system.
When used in machine tools, the backlash-free clamping of the ROBA® guidestop® also makes the NC-axis more rigid. This increases process accuracy, increases the cutting capacities and provides advantages during heavy-duty machining. The machining generates less vibration and thus improves the surface quality of the workpiece.
mayr® validation aid documents provide machine manufacturers with essential information—beyond the standard B10d (MTTFD) safety values—required for validating the selected product in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13849-2.
If you are using special versions, identifiable by the suffix “S” in the type designation, the applicability of the validation aid must be verified.
Please contact mayr® with the 7-digit mayr® article number to confirm whether the available validation support is approved for your special version.
