The ROBA® torqcontrol is a monitoring and supply module that can be used to vary or reduce the braking torque of safety brakes during operation. For this purpose, the ROBA® torqcontrol controls the magnetic coil of the brake in such a way that the resulting clamping force of the rotor is weakened. This enables, e.g. consistent deceleration or stopping distances when braking variable loads. The ROBA® torqcontrol also provides the function of sensorless brake monitoring like the ROBA® brake-checker®.
