The EAS®‑dutytorque is a positive-locking, disengaging torque limiter based on the ball-detent principle.
The clutch protects the drive line from excessively high, unpermitted torque impacts which can occur due to unintentional blockages. When in operation, the set torque is transmitted from the hub via the pressure flange or the flange hub onto the output. If the set torque is exceeded, the clutch disengages. On disengagement, the bolts in the overload elements perform an axial movement (stroke) and remain disengaged. Re-engagement takes place manually.
