The EAS®‑HSE is a positive-locking, disengaging torque limiter based on the ball-detent principle.
When in operation, the set torque is transmitted from the hub via the pressure flange or the flange hub onto the output. If the set torque is exceeded (overload), the clutch disengages. On disengagement, the bolts in the overload elements perform an axial movement (stroke) and remain disengaged. After-acting masses can slow down freely. Re-engagement takes place manually.
