The EAS®‑Sp/Sm/Zr is a positive-locking, disengaging torque limiter based on the ball‑detent principle.

In energized state, the clutch transmits the set torque. If the torque is exceeded (overload), the clutch disengages. The limit torque for overload on the clutch can be adjusted continuously via the coil current and can be changed during operation.
