Application
The ROBA®-linearstop is designed for use in linear movements. It can be used anywhere where a piston rod is in place or can be additionally attached. It prevents inadvertent dropping or crashing of axes under heavy gravitation load.
The ROBA®-linearstop electromagnetic type 3820.0_ _0_is designed as clamping unit and is suitable for EMERGENCY STOP braking.
Operating mode
The ROBA®‑linearstop electromagnetic is an electromagnetic safety brake.
In de-energized state, springs work on a clamping element. The piston rod is clamped.
When energized with the required operating voltage, the coil generates a magnetic field, which pulls the clamping element against the springs. The piston rod can be moved.
