Installation in both the A-bearing side and the B-bearing side of the motor, as temperature expansion and bearing play have no negative influence on the function and reliability of the brake.


The ROBA®-servostop® is a closed-circuit, electromagnetic safety brake.

When the brake is closed, the rotor is held between the armature disk and the brake gap by the friction linings. When the current of the built-in solenoid is switched on, the magnetic field pulls the armature disk against the force of the springs to the coil carrier. The brake is released.
