Torque limiters

Load separating, torque limiting torque limiting clutches safeguard rotary movements. When the preset torque is reached, the clutches interrupt the input and output. The separation is mechanical and almost residual torque-free. As a result, torque limiting clutches from mayr® power transmission interrupt the torque movement extremely quickly. Depending on the application, different modes of operation are possible: Through-engagement clutches re-engage automatically after a defined number of angular degrees, synchronous clutches have only one re-engagement point after one full revolution. Overload clutches allow the drive to coast freely and must be actively re-engaged, for example by hand or by various engagement mechanisms.
