Responsibilities

This position directly reports to Business Development Manager, Mayr Japan.

Major responsibilities of this position are to implement the sales plan based on the agreement between Mayr Corporate and Mayr Japan:

  • To demonstrate the advantage or benefits of Mayr products to the customers and accelerate the order taking.
  • To accelerate sales growth and expansion of sales/distribution channel through introduction and proposal of Mayr products as well as technical support; 
  • To develop a long-term, sustainable and reliable relationship with the customers and accelerate to adopt Mayr products;

  • Exciting environment of working at “start-up” operation of German company with international industrial leader with solid history and successful record.
  • Japanese operation is new, but the business is stable, backed up with long history and experience of head office.
  • Due to start-up operation, autonomy, self-discipline and aggressiveness in teamwork are appreciated.  No seniority system exists. Quite friendly working environment.
  • Frequent communication with German head office provides you with a great opportunity of utilizing/improving your English (or German) language skill in international environment.
  • Mayr products have been applied in quite wide industries and enrich your knowledge of wide industries and application. Mayr products are not commodity and rather easy to appeal the characteristics.
  • Your engineering knowledge and experience can be deeper and richer through discussion with the engineers of customers in leading industrial companies.
  • Mayr products have been sold in Japan for long time and the task is not to sell “unknown and strange” products.

 

Requirements

  • Graduated mechanical engineer (B.S. or above), or National Institute of Technology, Industrial High School.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in sales and technical support of mechanical components, preferably with power transmission products at non-Japanese companies or trading company of machine parts
  • Good contact experience to Japanese machinery OEMs, and good communicator in direct customer contacts with key accounts
  • New customers‘ development skills and experience in effective manner is required.
  • 30s to early 40s preferable, depending on the experience
  • Languages: Fluent Japanese (native) and business level English and/or German, including technical discussion.
  • Experience in international business and bridging cultural differences
  • Willing to work as a start-up member of the company (self-starter, willing to learn, and aggressiveness).

  • Office location: 1-1-9 Nihombashi-Kakigara-cho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo
  • Annual compensation: 6.5Mil. or higher.
  • Days off: Saturday, Sunday, National holidays, year-end and new year, and annual paid leave
  • Standard work hours: 9:00 – 17:30 with one-hour lunch break (flex-time and remote work available)
  • Social Insurance program and retirement allowance program provided. Commuting allowance is paid
