Les accouplements ROBA-DS sont des liaisons d'arbre et transmettent les couples de manière rigide en torsion et sans jeu. Parallèlement, ils compensent les désalignements angulaire et axial pour les accouplements à un paquet de lamelles (Type 950._ _ _) ainsi que le désalignement radial supplémentaire
des accouplement à 2 paquets de lamelles (Type 951._ _ _).
