L'EAS®‑compact est un limiteur de couple de sécurité à entraînement positif, à glissement ou à rotation libre selon le principe du logement à billes. Il protège la chaîne cinématique contre des pics de couples élevés non admissibles, dus à des blocages imprévus.
Fonctionnement à rotation libre
En cas de dépassement du couple réglé (surcharge), la transmission est complètement désolidarisée et il ne reste que le frottement des paliers. Le limiteur de couple doit être réenclenché.
