El EAS®-compact es un limitador de par a rotación libre, a deslizamiento o con acople positivo que sigue el principio de descenso de bola. El limitador de par protege la cadena cinemática contra golpes del par de giro inadmisiblemente intensos que se pueden producir por bloqueos imprevistos.
Funcionamiento al activarse
Si se sobrepasa el par de giro ajustado (sobrecarga), el mecanismo de transmisión se separa por completo y solo actúa la fricción de los rodamientos. Es preciso volver a enclavar el limitador de par.
