Customer portal / mayr+

We offer a customer portal on our website. There we provide registered users with services such as a product configurator, web seminars and others.

To register, it is necessary to fill in the marked mandatory fields. The mandatory fields include name and first name, e-mail address, postal address (street, postcode, city, country, state), company name and telephone number. We use a so-called double opt-in procedure for registration. This means that registration is not complete until you have received a confirmation e-mail and clicked on the link in the e-mail. The confirmation e-mail is sent to the address given during registration.

The data collected during registration represents the consideration for the free provision of the customer portal and the services offered there. We store the data for the purpose of providing the aforementioned and all future planned services and for verifying registrations. Depending on the country selection during registration, we may pass on the data to the responsible branch office or commercial agency. The legal basis for the processing of this data, which is transmitted in the course of sending an enquiry, is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO (legitimate interests of us as the responsible party). If the enquiry is aimed at the conclusion or implementation of an existing contract, the additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) DSGVO (fulfilment of a contract / pre-contractual measures).
In addition, we use it to contact you by telephone or post or to contact you by e-mail for product information for the purpose of self-promotion, for invitations to events (including trade fairs or web seminars) and for contacting you through our sales department.

After 12 months of inactivity, the data record will be completely deleted. Irrespective of this, you have the right to object to the future use of your personal data for advertising purposes at any time. To do so, click on the deactivation option provided for this purpose in emails or send an email to public.mayr@mayr.de.

The website provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser automatically transmits to us in "server log files". These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

These data will not be combined with data from other sources.

The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO, which allows the processing of data to fulfill a contract or for measures preliminary to a contract.

Contact form

Should you send us questions via the contact form, we will collect the data entered on the form, including the contact details you provide, to answer your question and any follow-up questions. We do not share this information without your permission.

We will, therefore, process any data you enter onto the contact form only with your consent per Art. 6 (1)(a) DSGVO. You may revoke your consent at any time. An informal email making this request is sufficient. The data processed before we receive your request may still be legally processed.

We will retain the data you provide on the contact form until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for its storage, or the purpose for its storage no longer pertains (e.g. after fulfilling your request). Any mandatory statutory provisions, especially those regarding mandatory data retention periods, remain unaffected by this provision.

E-applications

When you apply for an advertised position, you provide the company with your personal data. We will treat your data confidentially. You can withdraw your application at any time if you are no longer interested in the position. After the end of the application process or if you withdraw your application, your data will be deleted ina accordance with legal regulations.

The information recorded by Matomo about the use of this website will be stored on our server. Prior to archiving, the IP address will first be anonymized.

Through Matomo, we are able to collect and analyze data on the use of our website-by-website visitors. This enables us to find out, for instance, when which page views occurred and from which region they came. In addition, we collect various log files (e.g. IP address, referrer, browser, and operating system used) and can measure whether our website visitors perform certain actions (e.g. clicks, purchases, etc.).

The use of this analysis tool is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the analysis of user patterns, in order to optimize the operator’s web offerings and advertising. IP anonymization
For analysis with Matomo we use IP anonymization. Your IP address is shortened before the analysis, so that it is no longer clearly assignable to you.

This uses the technical platform and services of Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland. This fan page is used to collect personal data as well as website and usage data from Facebook. However, we, the company Chr. Mayr GmbH + Co. Joint processing of personal data

Data processing on Facebook is based on an agreement on the joint processing of personal data. Further information on Facebook's data processing can be found in Facebook's Privacy Policy.

Purpose of processing

User data is processed for market research and advertising purposes. For example, user profiles can be created on the basis of user behaviour and the resulting interests of users. The usage profiles can be used, for example, to place advertisements inside and outside the platforms that may correspond to the interests of the users. For these purposes, cookies are usually stored on the user's computer, in which information about the user is stored.

Further information on data protection can be found on the respective platform, see LinkedInXing and Instagram.

9. Data transfers to the USA

In the case of Google, YouTube and Facebook, data transfer to the USA cannot be completely ruled out despite the European infrastructure. The European Court of Justice has ruled that the USA does not offer a level of data protection that is adequate for the EU, as access by the authorities cannot be ruled out. However, to safeguard data transfers, these companies provide special data protection agreements (so-called standard contractual clauses), which are now part of the joint contractual relationship. We regularly consult with our data protection officer - and if necessary also with the service providers concerned - to ensure compliance with the data protection agreements.
