El EAS®-compact es un limitador de par a rotación libre, a deslizamiento o con acople positivo que sigue el principio de descenso de bola. El limitador de par protege la cadena cinemática contra golpes del par de giro inadmisiblemente intensos que se pueden producir por bloqueos imprevistos.
Funcionamiento a deslizamiento o síncrono
Si se supera el par límite ajustado (sobrecarga), se desenclava el limitador de par y se aplica un par residual aproximado de entre un 5 y un máximo 15 % del par de giro ajustado. Una vez eliminada la sobrecarga, el limitador de par se enclava de forma automática en la posición de enclavamiento.
