The ROBA®-linearstop is designed for use with linear movements. It can be used wherever a piston rod is available or can be additionally attached. It prevents unintentional sinking or falling of gravity-loaded axes.

The ROBA®-linearstop electromagnetic type 3820.0_ _0_is designed as clamping unit and is suitable for EMERGENCY STOP braking. 


The ROBA®-linearstop electromagnetic is an electromagnetic safety brake.

In the de-energised state, a spring acts on a clamping element. The piston rod is clamped.

By energising with the required operating voltage, the coil generates a magnetic field, which pulls the clamping element against the springs. The piston rod can be moved.
