A voluntary prototype inspection has been carried out on the ROBA®-topstop® single circuit brake Type 899.012.22, Size 200. The "DGUV Test Prüf- und Zertifizierungsstelle Maschinen und Fertigungsautomation" (translation: "DGUV Testing and Certification Body, Machines and Manufacturing Automation") confirms that this braking equipment can be considered a "tried and tested component" in terms of category 1 acc. DIN EN ISO 13849-1.
The pneumatic design of the ROBA®-linearstop has been tested and confirmed by the TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH as a full-quality dynamic braking device. It fulfils without question the basic test principles for emergency braking actions and holding function for linear movements (GS-MF-28) issued by the Berufsgenossenschaftlichen Instituts für Arbeitsschutz (Trade Association Institute for Occupational Protection).
And another design of the ROBA®-linearstop, the pneumatic clamping unit, has been certified by the TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH. In addition to the required test criteria for holding brakes, 100 dynamic braking procedures were conducted during the test – and the brake was also able to fulfil these requirements without any trouble at all.
Our dust and water-resistant monoblock brake, the ROBA-stop®-S, holds the Germanic Lloyd certificate and the "Certificate of Design Assessment" from the ABS Technical Office for application in ships, off-shore plants, sea harbours or other areas with critical ambient conditions.
The cold climate version of the ROBA-stop®-M wind power brake is certified by Germanic Lloyd (GL) for applications to temperatures of -40 °C.
