Customer portal / mayr+
We offer a customer portal on our website. There we provide registered users with services such as a product configurator, web seminars and others.
To register, it is necessary to fill in the marked mandatory fields. The mandatory fields include name and first name, e-mail address, postal address (street, postcode, city, country, state), company name and telephone number. We use a so-called double opt-in procedure for registration. This means that registration is not complete until you have received a confirmation e-mail and clicked on the link in the e-mail. The confirmation e-mail is sent to the address given during registration.
The data collected during registration represents the consideration for the free provision of the customer portal and the services offered there. We store the data for the purpose of providing the aforementioned and all future planned services and for verifying registrations. Depending on the country selection during registration, we may pass on the data to the responsible branch office or commercial agency. The legal basis for the processing of this data, which is transmitted in the course of sending an enquiry, is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO (legitimate interests of us as the responsible party). If the enquiry is aimed at the conclusion or implementation of an existing contract, the additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) DSGVO (fulfilment of a contract / pre-contractual measures).
In addition, we use it to contact you by telephone or post or to contact you by e-mail for product information for the purpose of self-promotion, for invitations to events (including trade fairs or web seminars) and for contacting you through our sales department.
After 12 months of inactivity, the data record will be completely deleted. These data will not be combined with data from other sources.

6. Analytics and advertising
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service. It is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
Google Analytics cookies are stored based on Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior to optimize both its website and its advertising.
We have activated the IP anonymization feature on this website. Your IP address will be shortened by Google within the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to transmission to the United States. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services regarding website activity and Internet usage for the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with any other data held by Google.
You can prevent these cookies being stored by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, we wish to point out that doing so may mean you will not be able to enjoy the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the data generated by cookies about your use of the website (incl. your IP address) from being passed to Google, and the processing of these data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
Objecting to the collection of data
You can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent your data from being collected on future visits to this site: Disable Google Analytics.
Outsourced data processing
We have entered into an agreement with Google for the outsourcing of our data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.
Demographic data collection by Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics' demographic features. This allows reports to be generated containing statements about the age, gender, and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google and third-party visitor data. This collected data cannot be attributed to any specific individual person. You can disable this feature at any time by adjusting the ads settings in your Google account or you can forbid the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section "Refusal of data collection".
This website uses the open-source web analysis service Matomo. Matomo uses technologies that make it possible to recognize the user across multiple pages with the aim of analyzing the user patterns (e.g. cookies or device fingerprinting). The information recorded by Matomo about the use of this website will be stored on our server. Prior to archiving, the IP address will first be anonymized.
Through Matomo, we are able to collect and analyze data on the use of our website-by-website visitors. This enables us to find out, for instance, when which page views occurred and from which region they came. In addition, we collect various log files (e.g. IP address, referrer, browser, and operating system used) and can measure whether our website visitors perform certain actions (e.g. clicks, purchases, etc.).
The use of this analysis tool is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the analysis of user patterns, in order to optimize the operator’s web offerings and advertising. If appropriate consent has been obtained, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG, insofar the consent includes the storage of cookies or the access to information in the user’s end device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. This consent can be revoked at any time.
For analysis with Matomo we use IP anonymization. Your IP address is shortened before the analysis, so that it is no longer clearly assignable to you.
We host Matomo exclusively on our own servers so that all analysis data remains with us and is not passed on.

Insofar as personal data is collected on our website with the help of the tool described here and forwarded to Facebook or Instagram, we and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland are jointly responsible for this data processing (Art. 26 DSGVO). In addition to the website of our company, we also offer a so-called Facebook fan page. This uses the technical platform and services of Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland. KG, use this data exclusively on an anonymous and statistical basis.
Joint processing of personal data
Purpose of processing
User data is processed for market research and advertising purposes. For example, user profiles can be created on the basis of user behaviour and the resulting interests of users. The usage profiles can be used, for example, to place advertisements inside and outside the platforms that may correspond to the interests of the users. For these purposes, cookies are usually stored on the user's computer, in which information about the user is stored.
Legal basis for the processing
The processing of users' personal data takes place on the basis of legitimate interests in effective information and communication between us and the users pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f. DSGVO. If the user wishes to object to data processing, the user has the option of objecting or the use can be terminated. Further information can be found in the OptOut for advertising and the advanced settings via Your Online Choices.
We would like to point out that information requests and the assertion of further rights of data subjects can be asserted most effectively on Facebook. Facebook provides an information portal for this purpose, through which the data collected by Facebook can be viewed and downloaded. Only Facebook has access to detailed user data and can directly take appropriate measures and provide information. If you still need help, please do not hesitate to contact us. You will find further information about your rights and our contact details directly in this privacy statement.

The providers themselves are responsible for the data processing on these external websites. The offers serve the information interest of our visitors, prospective customers and customers. All data processing by us takes place here only on a statistical, non-personal basis.
Further information on data protection can be found on the respective platform, see LinkedIn, Xing and Instagram.
9. Data transfers to the USA
In the case of Google, YouTube and Facebook, data transfer to the USA cannot be completely ruled out despite the European infrastructure. The European Court of Justice has ruled that the USA does not offer a level of data protection that is adequate for the EU, as access by the authorities cannot be ruled out. However, to safeguard data transfers, these companies provide special data protection agreements (so-called standard contractual clauses), which are now part of the joint contractual relationship. We regularly consult with our data protection officer - and if necessary also with the service providers concerned - to ensure compliance with the data protection agreements.
